These girls survived multiple attempts at extermination by some contractors. When the home owner, Vincent, discovered the colony he didn't hesitate to contact a local beekeeper.
The very gentle bees had used an old hole under an elevated deck to access the void between floor joists. As you can see they've done fairly well for themselves with a healthy mated and laying queen. The area you see opened was covered by sheetrock and very easy to access leaving very little repair work to be completed. Than you to Vincent and his daughter who worked right along side me to relocate these bees. It was an awesome experience working with these folks!
